Disabled Coogs @ UH
About Us
Disabled Coogs is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and accessible environment for both undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities, as well as their allies. Our mission is to share valuable resources, provide education, promote advocacy, and offer social opportunities that empower students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. We strive to create a community where disabled students feel seen, heard, and valued, while also raising awareness and understanding among non-disabled students, faculty, staff, and allies. Through collaboration, peer support, and advocacy, Disabled Coogs works to break down barriers, challenge ableism, and ensure equal access and opportunities for all students, regardless of ability.
Disabled Coogs was founded in 2024, by A Perry, Colson Zanetti Williamson, and Beka Stowell.

What about GroupMe?
We are unaffiliated with the Disabled Coogs GroupMe! It is a long standing group chat filled with disabled current students and alum, but it is not associated with our Disabled Coogs organization. We know its confusing, but we appreciate your understanding!
